The radiator consists of water inlet chamber, water outlet chamber and radiator core. The coolant flows in the radiator core and the air passes through the radiator. The hot coolant cools because it dissipates heat to the air, while the cold air heats up because it absorbs heat from the coolant.

The radiator is responsible for cooling the circulating water. Its water pipe and radiator are mostly made of aluminum. The aluminum water pipe is made of flat shape, and the radiator is corrugated. It pays attention to the heat dissipation performance. The installation direction is perpendicular to the direction of air flow. Try to keep the wind resistance small and the cooling efficiency high. The coolant flows in the radiator core and the air passes through the radiator core. The hot coolant cools because it dissipates heat to the air, and the cold air heats up because it absorbs heat from the coolant, so the radiator is a heat exchange.

Radiator materials and manufacturing technology have developed rapidly. Aluminum radiator has obvious advantages in material lightweight. The core of the fin type radiator is composed of many thin cooling tubes and fins. Most of the cooling tubes adopt oblate section to reduce air resistance and increase heat transfer area.
The radiator core shall have enough flow area for coolant to pass through, and also enough air flow area for sufficient air to pass through to take away the heat transferred from coolant to radiator. At the same time, it must have enough heat dissipation area to complete the heat exchange between coolant, air and heat sink.
The tube belt radiator is formed by welding the corrugated diffuser and the cooling pipe arranged alternately.

Compared with the fin radiator, the heat dissipation area of the tube and strip radiator can be increased by about 12% under the same conditions. In addition, the cooling strip is provided with louver like holes to disturb the airflow, so as to destroy the attachment layer of flowing air on the surface of the cooling strip and improve the heat dissipation capacity.
